hi, and welcome! i hear where you're coming from with the push to buy feeling - i've felt the same thing. but i buy my fiber supplement at a drug store, and get my teas from a health food store. and the ideas on the website definitely seem to work. people here rave about the products heather sells - her teas seem to be really strong and fresh. most teas are made for flavor, rather than medicinal strength, so they're not all effective for the ibs stuff. that's my own deduction.
the diet stuff, though, gets heather no profit - she puts almost all the info from her books up on the website for free - and it has helped me, at least, tremendously.
as for fennel tea, i would check a health food store - i found my tea in the herbal supplement section, and i'm really happy with the strength and flavor. it's much more within my budget than heather's teas, but if you can afford her stuff, i bet it's worth it.
