Hello Heather!! I'm new to your website & posting a question. To start off, several years ago, I was diagnosed with a spastic colon & was given medicine. At that time, it helped & went away. Now years later, for instance, starting last year, I started noticing the symptoms of IBS. I didn't think anything of it & ignored it. This year, I started researching what IBS is on the internet. Now, I have alot more of the symptoms now, then I did before. I came across your website & read up on it & ordered your book "Eating For IBS". So I have read the book & changed my eating habits, but I don't feel any change.
I don't feel like I've lost any weight. Either I have gained or stayed the same. I do take vitamins & supplements. I exercise daily. I do watch my portions of food. I have been doing this now for 3 months.
My question is why do I feel bloated some of the time & why is it when I do eat the "right" things I still have diarhea. For instance, I had for supper last nite, grilled salmon, broccoli & small baked potato, and this morning it went right thru me.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or do you think it could be something else??? I would like to have your opinion on this.
Thank you
