my roommate refers to my cooking forays (and sort of my whole life) as 'always an adventure' - zucchini bread? first we had no grater so i had to chop it by hand, then it got stuck in the pan, and then the ends were dry. rice pudding? too thick and too spiced. mashed potatoes? too salty, and i had to call my mother to even know how to make them. it's all turned out quite edible, but there's always something. learning as i go.
