Somedays, I also end up living on white pasta, white bread (bagels, english muffins, french, etc), and honeycombs cereal. Then I slowly try to add some turkey and baby spinach leaves( with the stems pulled off) to my bread. I also try to work in some baked sweet potatoes. I also buy frozen mango and just blend it with some cold water (it doesn't taste that great, but at least I am getting some fruit). I also work in oatmeal with some frozen blueberries and brown sugar cooked in. Also most of the fruit breads from Heather's recipes also work out for me.
The key is to start slowly and don't do too many new things at once, or you won't know what caused the flare up.
Is he trying soluble fiber pills and peppermint tea and caps?
Good luck. I know it is tough. Some days I think, "gosh, I am going to end up starving to death", but then things slowly get better.
