Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | MORE GOOD NEWS! I WENT TO THE DOC TODAY!

well it's not really really good news......but i finally got taken seriously at the doctors today!!

the doctor that was suppose to see me was busy, so a fill in doctor saw me instead, i didn't know at the time, but she also works for a GI doctor....so she sat down and talked to me for about 2 minutes, if that....and send me to get blood tests and poopoo (eww) tests...i havne't turned the poopoo one in yet...because now i'm all stage frighten...but i got the blood one,, she wants to see me next tuesday to follow up, then she scheduled an appointment with a GI doctor...and after that they'll go from there, she was really concerend because i had lost 20 pounds since february, but she's personally going to follow up on me, becuase she's very interested in my case, she even told a nurse that i was a very interesting case, and wants to figure out whats wrong.
so it's a begning of a journey, but i'm so glad she's taking care of it! the doc she works for at the family clinic is going to take over my case, so i'm really happy for that. she said that it didn't completely sound like ibs...but it could, she's more concerned that it is colitis of course, but what ever it is, at least we're getting answers!!!!!!
