As you know, I'm not a D person, but I think I can offer up a couple of suggestions. Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well by the way, but I'm almost glad that you're finally getting rid of all that stool.
Do you have any bananas to eat? How about some potatoes or rice? Generally when I'm experiencing loose stool, bananas will solidify things for me pretty quickly. The reason I asked about the potatoes and rice, at least for me, they have more of a tendancy to keep things more solid by themselves. Also, you need to keep drinking lots of water or tea or both. I'm sure you know this, but the more D you have the less hydrated you get, which in turn can cause you to have more D.
I can't tell you for sure what's going to be the right thing to do, but if I were in your situation, I would stay away from the meds to help relieve your symptoms... at least until you've exhausted all other options.
