Honey, I sympathise with your situation. When my first onset with IBS happened at 15, my mother told me I had the stomach flu. After 6 months, and losing 25 lbs, (I was never very big to begin with, maybe 100 lbs) she decided that there might be something wrong. And my mom is a nurse! I was diagnosed with IBS then. But because the Dr. said it was stress related, "It was all in my head." And I spent 2 years with a shrink, which helped none! What finally started helping my situation was graduating from high school, getting a job and moving out of my parents house. I could then do what I wanted and eat what I wanted and live how I wanted, with out anyone telling me it was in my head. And I am not saying life has been all roses since, but doing things my way has made a difference. I hope that you too, will soon be able to be on your own and live your own life. Until then you are in my thoughts and prayers. Shawna
