Okay, our Imodium comes in caplet form with each caplet containg 2 mg loperamide. The caplet is oblong in shape with a groove down the center making it easy to split in half. The recommended dose is "2 after the first loose stool, 1 caplet each subsequent loose stool." However, for preventive purposes I find 1/2 to 1 enough; if I'm already having D, 1-2 caplets work for me. HTH! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
