It seems that each person tolerates it differently. However, I think if you're IBS-D, flax can be a trigger. I was adding ground flaxseed to my cereal and pancakes, but it made my D worse. I even tried adjusting the amount, but still experienced laxative-like effects. I wish I could take it because it contains good fats, Omega 3s! I do better with an SFS.

There have been other discussions on flaxseed on this board; you might consider doing a search.
