Hey Cyndy! Thanks for your kind note! How are you doing? What are you going to do about your doctor? That is the WORST feeling; if nothing else, you just want validation and feeling that you are not going "crazy." I honestly suggest getting another opinion, not only for your physical health but mental sanity too! Let me know how it goes for you!
There is never a definite "how something happened" or came about, as with my pelvic floor descent it is common among constipation "strainers" (and prior to this, I had constant D as the D was seeping around loads of impacted stool so there was no straining! HAHa!), or women who give birth. I asked my doctor and he dsaid that sometimes these anatomical things just exist, and I do believe that! As for the constipation, slow transit, I truly believe that is a result of my anorexia. Not puttting food into my system has delayed EVERYTHING and, as my doctor said, my body doesnt quite know how to break down foods or rid itself of gases/waste as easily as some of systems do. I am going to try biofeedback for the pelvic floor, as I guess that is really helpful and i am on zelnorm (upped the dosage) with constipation, taking probiotics, following Heather's diet, taking a bit of soluble fiber (as when I dont, I have D because everything gets stuck!), drinking lots of tea, etc.
What about you? When did your symptoms start and how are you getting relief now?
Take care! Kristen
