Boy, that's really rough. I can't really help too much but to say that all of us understand and really support you throughout this ordeal. I know that my GI doc told me that IBS tends to show weight gain (with all of this nausea, can't imagine how!) and I was under the impression that throwing up was also generally not a symptom. So don't give up, I would keep pressing the docs. See more than one GI doctor, if you can financially. It will be really worth it. Do you have health insurance, or can you get state sponsored help? I would not say that I have any answers at all, but I am really there for you. I myself am once again at home on Saturday night while my husband meets our friends for dinner, because I am too ill to go out of my house, and he can't cancel at the last minute. So, I really understand the awful pain and suffering. According to Heather's book "Eating for IBS", other tests could be blood tests or a gyno exam for ovarian cancer. I don't want to scare you, but just adding these. Have you been checked for Crohn's disease? My friend has that and had almost all of those symptoms you described, which was found with an Upper GI. He lost a lot of weight and was vomiting often. But, with the right treatment, he is great now. Please keep us updated and keep going!
