Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | What worked for me (Simple Cure)

I just wanted to post what has helped me out. It may/may not work for you but I feel like I should post it.

About a year ago I had extremely bloody stools, so much so that I literally all I could do was lay down and go to the bathroom 6 times a day to pass a cup of blood every time!

I went on prednisone and asacol- those helped (esp the prednisone but the hormone had too many side effects)

What did it for me (and this sounds crazy I know) but before I go to bed I drink 12 big gulps of V-8 every night. I actually did this before I knew I had colitis and when I stopped drinking it I noticed that the whole onslaught of symptions came on. I didn't tie the connection to V-8 until now.

I'm not saying it is a miracle and please don't get your hopes up too much but please if you are suffering spend the $3 on a big bottle and try it for two weeks- it wouldn't hurt. I think you will be surprised.
