Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I am on Zoloft- They started me on 25mg and worked me up to 75mg- It definately has helped me cope and has taken alot of the edge off the pain. I don't know if the edge is actually off the IBS or the Zoloft just makes me not concentrate on it as much. I still have discomfort and crampy pain no matter what I eat- This pain decreases gradually then as soon as I eat again it comes back up. But at least it isn't to the point where I am missing work, and not sleeping like before.
I don't think the Zoloft made my C any worse- In the beginning when I forst started the Zoloft it gave me D, for a cuople days but that went away.
I am having a hard time with getting IF into my diet lately. IF really irritates my insides. Doesn't give me D if I watch how much I eat of the IF, but it makes my insides hurt tremendously after a BM.
I don't think I'm ever going to figure out all the angles of this. It's so frustrating sometimes isn't it...
Keep hangin in there though.
