I think it just depends on the person and what he/she has eaten. My main problem isn't bloating, although I do have it probably more often than non-IBS people. When I'm not eating right, I have bad abdominal pain and D. With an SFS and a few days of following "Breaking the Cycle" the pain and bloating can be alleviated (for me) in about three days. I have IBS-D, so a D attack may last one day and then I feel sort of tired, sore, and ill the next couple of days.
