Even if you figure that dried herbs and fresh are BOTH still insoluble, there's rarely enough in a recipe to give anyone a problem... unless you're extremely sensitive, like Maria, or if you're a weirdo like me and have one or two herbs that you absolutely CANNOT have (I can't eat oregano, even in tiny quantities).
Herbs and spices are practically a necessity for IBS cooking - the food would be ridiculously bland without it. Even when I was completely unstable, I used them with wild abandon without any problems.
