Thanks Heather. I was only able to find one post about flaxseeds in the past year, but you answered my question with exactly what I needed to know. Has anyone published a comprehensive list of the the actual soluble and insoluble fiber content of specific fruits, vegies, grains etc. I'm a physician and also have C-IBS and I'd like to be able to guide my patients to a list like this. However, if it doesn't exist, your book Eating For IBS is certainly an excellent guide in regards to a general overview understanding about the 2 types of fiber. I just discovered it about a week ago and so far I'm definitely noticing an improvement in my sxs using the bland diet that you recommend to calm down a person's GI tract before they start to use the other recipes.Thank you very much for writing this book and I certainly hope that I continue to feel as well as I have for the past several days!
