Some people do get sorbet and sherbert confused. I'm dairy-free but one of my aunts, trying to be helpul and knowing I can't have ice cream, bought some sherbert (thinking it was safe) for me to have at a family get-together! It was sweet of her, but would have definitely triggered a horrible attack for me.
And it's always a good idea to read all the fine-print on those ingredient lists.
