Hi - If you're eating seafood or skinless chicken breast you're fine. It's actually darn hard to be B-12 deficient unless you follow a strict vegan diet for many years and you make no effort to get vegan sources of B-12 like fermented soy products (seitan, miso) and organically grown root vegetables. Most vegans are well-aware of the nutrition they need and don't have a problem. If you're not vegan, you're highly unlikely to become B-12 deficient. You can actually be checked for this - it's a simple blood test. And you can take a multi-vitamin with B-12 in it if you're concerned.
