hi! youre a C-er too?? so am i! and actually i CANT balance it out to well=/ i can eat SOME SF foods--but not as many as i thought that i could. i cant eat bananas. one thing i find helpful is drinking tea and not just peppermint. when im in that "attack time" which seems like i always am, i drink and pack up a variety of different teas. celestial seasonings has such a huge selection that im never bored with it! what ive been drinking lately that has seemed to help with the pains from gas and bloating is raspberry gardens green tea. i read that green tea has alot of antioxidants and thought that if i cant get it regularly from normal foods..that i could get it from a tea! it seems to work alright~and the flavor is perfect--not too green tea-y and not to tart. if you enjoy drinking tea, you could try that. also i try to plan little meals ahead of time. i keep a journal..a few actually and i write down a days worth of meals and i mix in SF foods with IF foods [ex: breakfast: grapefruit half with rice cereal and added blueberries. the blueberries are nutrel [sp?] and dont seem to bother my tummy. perhaps you could try that?? and keeping journals helps too--bc then you can see what you ate that gave you pains, and then you could either avoid it or mix it with something so it doesnt make the pains so harsh. i hope that helps!! what are some tips you have and use that are helpful?? im always searching for new ones! ta ta!
