Well I was diagnosed with it last year after a barium enema and confirmed with a colonoscopy.

I don't have all the answers you want I'm sure as I am seeking similar information myself. But I generally do not have a major problem what I eat except some salad oils and probably if I eat too much red meats. I also avoid kernel corn. My problem apparently got worse after gall bladder surgery.

Major problem I find with this longer colon is periods of slight constipation at times even with Metamucil and more gas as I understand that it is harder to expel. But I have diverticulosis with mine and that seems to be main culprit.

I find that chamoile tea or fennel teas help.
