my name is ellen.i have suffered from ibs for at least 13 years.Afew weeks ago i started doing something on my own and it is helping me a lot.I am eating 1/4 cup of nuts a day,have cut back on my caffeine and taking 1 metamucil capsule at night before i go to bed.I suffered from a lot of diarea and cramping and bloating,had lower back pain which I had x-rays and tests done and nothing significant was found.I am having a normal bowel movement every day now.Have not got that feeling of urgency and the gut pain is almost nil.I am hoping that this will keep working and maybe it will help someone else to try it.I am using walnuts and almonds right now cause they are lower in fat than most,and also using them no shells,no salt.
