Hi - Psyllium is what Metamucil is made from. It's high in soluble fiber but it does have some insoluble. Of all the soluble fiber supplements, it's by far the most likely to cause bloating and gas. BUT - that's just for some people, not all. Many folks tolerate psyllium very well, and for them it can give great results. Only way to know is to try a small amount for several days and see how you do.
