both recipes should be safe for you. They're low fat, no trigger foods, soluble fiber basis. This makes them safe for IBS D and C, because they won't get your gastrocolic reflex spiralling out of control.
Traditional brownies, which are high fat and have dairy and egg yolks, are a huge trigger. They'll get things moving alright, but this is not just a problem for D (for obvious reasons) but also, though it sounds like a contradiction, for C. Why? Because the movement can be TOO great - the colon muscles start contracting too strongly, constipation is temporarily solved, but the contractions can be so strong the colon muscles seize up altogether and motility stops, or you can get a rebound effect and end up with worse constipation a few days down the road.
