I camp every weekend. And so I don't feel jipped I put alot of effort into packing my food. I stock up! I have stocked my fridge with the following items:

Chicken Breasts. I eat them like a hamburger - then I don't feel like I am being jipped. I feel like I am eating a burger with everyone else. LOL. I put Lettuce, mustard etc on there.

I make up a salad and take it with me in tupperware. (I know some people can't handle salad, but I find it alot better than greasy food)

I also take some potatoes to make potatoes on the BBQ. I just take tin foil, spray with PAM (just enough so potatoes don't stick) then slice up potatoes and put on some green onion, and some mushrooms, s&p and season salt. Throw them on the grill for about 1/2 hr and voila! Excellent!

I also make kabobs (easy). I just thaw some chicken breast, and put some mushrooms, green peppers, etc on there. Very good. I make the potatoes with this.

I am the fastest cook ever when camping. You don't wanna be cooking all day or having your meal take so much longer than everyone elses because then you feel jipped or too tired!

I know that some of the things I listed are not always suggested for us, but I am able to eat them without problems. Hopefully you will be able to adapt the ideas ok though!

Good luck and have fun at the zoo.
Don't feed the bears!
