I gained a lot of weight and the D was worse. I have had much better luck with trycyclic antidepressants (now I am on desipramine) which have an anticholinergetic side effects which are great for my IBS-D. I am not sure if all SSRIs would have the same side effects, and of course our guts are all a little different, but this has been my experience.
