I found this site a few weeks ago and I've been trying to follow the diet as best I can... honestly I don't think it is too hard, because I didn't eat gluten for three months and I'm just reveling in the fact that I can have bread, or really, that I NEED to have bread.
Anyway ... I've been reading the message boards for awhile and everyone's suggestions and friendliness have really helped me so I wanted to say hi. And oh yeah, the diet is WORKING. I haven't felt this good in more than a year. I haven't even started taking a fiber supplement yet but I'm going to order Acacia soon. I've eaten some salads and smoothies with no big problems... and the fennel tea! Whoa!
I have a few questions... does anyone have breakfast ideas besides oatmeal? I love oatmeal but I'm kind of stuck on it...
second question, I read dried papaya is a good snack, but I started eating dried mango too (it's one of my favorite foods) ... since mango is soluble fiber should that be okay?
I shop at health food stores a lot and a lot of the ingredients say "wheat flour" instead of just "flour" ... is "wheat flour" the same as whole wheat/whole grain? Because technically all flour is wheat, so I wasn't sure if that was safe or not.
Anyway, so thanks! I am so amazed at how strong and capable everyone is at dealing with this here. I think it's awesome and it really changed my perspective.
Love, Lindsay
