initial cause of IBS       01/30/05 07:19 AM Edit Reply Quote RobinV Reged: 01/08/05 Posts: 108 Loc: wayne,pa I far as I can remember I have been C. But for the last 2 years it has gotten much worse. I swear it is hormonal! I am 50 and haven't had a period since last May. I do remember a couple of years ago I did have a really bad upper respirespitory illness and I was on 5 different antibiotics. Maybe that messed my intenstial flora. Who knows! All I know now is that I am so C and nothing seems to help me go. These past 2 weeks I feel full all the time and sick. Thursday I actually woke up in the middle of the nite so nausous that I threw up and then I finally had a bm, and it wasn;t D. Maybe it is all the stress of me worrying about not going.
