I'll try to answer your questions...

1st of all, I have a question for you... When you say ww bread, do you mean weight watchers? The reason I ask, is most plain "white" bread that's bought in the grocery store and not made in a bakery, has HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) in it which is a common trigger for IBS. You'll want to carefully read labels before purchasing anything bought at the grocery store. Along with HFCS, sometimes they sneak in dairy derivatives such as casein or whey.

Heathers recommendations call for a diet that's high in soluble fiber for both C (constipation) and D (diarrhea). You find this in things like pasta, potatoes, rice, oatmeal, etc. Did you see her list? soluble fiber list It's still important however, for people with C, to also consume as many insolubles ( web page ) as your body will tolerate, after consuming a good amount of soluble fiber (the idea being that you sort of "cushion" your tummy to help digest the insolubles). Eating the right portion of insoluble fiber in a safe manner, along with plenty of water and excercise, should help your C get better. The trick is to figure out what's going to work for you.

First thing you need to do is break the cylce . Then once you've settled your tummy down, you can go on to slowly adding other things in such as insolubles. C in my opinion is a little more tricky. Unfortunately it's hard to distinguish what works and what doesn't, so it's a good idea to start a journal and pay close attention to your body's reaction.

Now, for your other questions... I personally can not handle beans, regardless of the type. Everyone is different though, so what might work for someone else, may not for you. And I'm not positive about the spices, but I don't think they should be a problem for your IBS.

When you say that you don't feel clean, do you mean that you feel like you haven't completely emptied or is it something else? If it is, it's a very common symptom for C'ers. So you're not alone on that.

I hope I've successfully helped in answering your quesions. Feel free to ask more. We're alsways here to help.

Good luck!
