There are some studies that show that health benefits are had by taking more like the number Heather talks about -- but then you do start risking more GI side effects -- like the cramping, gas and so on. The lower doses just are safer for your tummy. To be honest -- everyone's tummy is different. Some can tolerate more or different things. It may not even be the amount.
