Yep, I had had tests done a few weeks ago and just got the results. I have multiple bad bugs--candida overgrowth, bacterial overgrowth, and some indicators of inflammation. So that's why the antibiotics helped. I also tested positive for casein, egg, and soy allergy. I already have a known gluten intolerance.
Anyway, it seems that I may not have IBS, or I have IBS as a result of the intestinal imbalance and food allergies.
At this point I'm supposed to eliminate most sugars and carbs from my diet (no rice, cereal, etc., limited fruit), so I'm trying to figure out things to eat that provide enough soluble fiber. Always open to suggestions.
Thanks! Judith
