Angel, I don't think we have talked before so, HI! Are you IBS D? For me, what really helps with water retention is to AVOID salt, MSG, alcohol and actually drink MORE water (this helps to flush your system). One question though, are you sure your bloated belly is from water retention? If it is water retention, other parts of your body would be swollen as well, like your hands, feet, etc. I am more IBS-C and my stomach can get very bloated, almost like I am pregnant. For me, this is caused by gas usually as a result of eating dairy (a HUGE no-no for me) or fatty foods. If it is just your belly that is swollen, maybe it isn't water retention? Just a thought. Artist P.S. Don't go overboard with the lemon, it is acidic and if you are IBS-D it you might be sensitive, just a squeeze!
