Grrrrrrr! That makes me SO MAD!

I am a big fan of listening to your bod...you know what's best for you better than anyone!

I say stick with the teas if they help.

If you want to try the wheat bread, go for it. See for yourself how this makes you feel. You may want to keep a food journal and write down what you eat, how much, and how it makes you feel. This will help pinpoint what foods work/don't.

I did an elimination diet...on my own. This did not make me happy...I had hoped to do this with a doc's guidance...but I'm still searching for a doc and I couldn't wait any longer. This helped me get a feel for what I could/couldn't tolerate. Heather's diet helped give me a starting point. But I tried dairy again despite her IBS recommendations. I needed to see for myself what worked. I can't eat dairy...but at least now I know that for sure.

I'm glad you're getting tested for Celiac! I'm gluten free right now trying to figure out if this is a problem or not because the docs I visited wouldn't test me. Please let me know how that works out for you! If you find you have Celiac, there's lots of help out there...and I'd be happy to tell you everything I know about the subject.

Maddening! I can't believe what that nurse read you from your chart. It's patients like us, that do our own research, that scare doctors. They want us to put our faith in them (I put my faith in G-d thank you very much). I understand they went to school for these things and I didn't...but that doesn't mean I can't/shouldn't take an interest in my health.

Why did the doc want you to stop taking herbal teas when that wasn't on the origina list of things to eliminate from your diet? Did the nurse give a reason?

I give you a lot of credit for following this doc's diet...you're very stubborn! (I'm the same...may not be the best way to be...but at least we have guts and determination!) I can't wait to hear how this turns out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not into humiliating people or making them feel bad. But it really gets to me when people have themselves on a pedastal. I almost feel bad for them.

Anyway, now that I've given my opinions...

I think you should trust yourself. Like I said, you know yourself better than ANYONE! If herbal teas help, keep drinking em'. If wheat bread is a prob...or you're doing fine without it...go with that!

I hope this helps......

Let me know how htings turn out!
