SFS experience so far ...

When I first found this website the only SFS I could find was Celevac, which I used for about a month. Within a couple of days of starting at a low dose I had a week of fantastically normal BMs - like I haven't had for years. Then that stopped and I was back to the usual cycle of C followed by D, plus lots of BMs so soft I could hardly pass them - like sludge. I don't know if I went backwards because of something I ate or because I was increasing the dose or because I was reacting to one of the other ingredients in it.

So I ordered some acacia, again started on a low dose (1/4 tspn 2x a day) and increased it gradually up to 2 tspn 4x a day). There was just one day, quite near the beginning, when I almost had a normal BM ... but didn't. After that they just got increasingly softer, which is not a good thing for me! I can imagine there are people who would love softer BMs, but for me it is really no help!

So now I have decided to go back to Celevac and see if the same thing happens again and this time try to notice what makes it happen ... To be honest, I feel a bit discouraged, although I know from reading other people's posts that it could take a lot of trial and error before I get the balance right. I do feel a lot more comfortable and less tired all the time than I did before discovering Heather's diet, so it's not as though there has been no progress ...

If anyone has any suggestions, especially people who have had this "too soft to poop" type BM - and BTW does this class as C or D or neither? - or anyone with comments on my acacia experience - I actually prefer taking the acacia to the Celevac, but it just wasn't helping - I would be more than grateful to read your thoughts!

Best wishes to everyone,

Josephine
