I take celebrex in the winter for my arthritis- in the summer it lets up a lot and I just cope with it... since the side effects fo increased heart issues are all based on minimums of 18 months straight usage... Codeine stops me up and knocks me out and nsaids even with a lot of food give me major cramps adn D.. basically it depends on whats wrong and how much I'm willing to cope.. the only thing I take anymore since my IBS-A got bad is tylenol.. and if that won't cut it- as I said I'm on celebrex for the winter as long as its not removed from the market... I actually find if I take it 5 days a week it keeps enough in my system now that I've built it up that I can be ok with skipping doses on my days off!
