I find that all of the painkillers with codeine or other narcotics generally cause C...the only other option is to consider an NSAID (Naproxen, Torodol) but they can be really hard on the GI tract as well. I personally stick with the NSAIDS and just take them with LOTS of food...because I find that's better than the severe C I get from the narcotics.
