Oh yes, you should avoid it if you have a thyroid problem.

I'm vegan so I don't eat meat but the meat eaters here all seem fine with skinless baked chicken. Can you eat that? I think you said you don't like salmon or other fish? Do you eat eggs? They contain protein but I think they're only safe if you eat just the whites. I'm kinda the wrong person to give you advice on animal-derived protein sources.

You can get protein powders which don't contain any soy as well. Lots of people are allergic to it.

Maybe you'll get more responses on Monday from the others. Thr boards are quiet on weekends.
