Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I slightly remember reading not that long ago that graham crackers are now made with refined flour. Back in the day, they were whole grain, and invented by a guy Graham, who was very religious and thought it a sin to eat unhealthy and refined grains. So, he would be pretty upset to know how they are made today.
I guess it is the same thing with pretzels being safe and still saying 'wheat flour'.
Like, when we eat whole grain bread, and you can see all the huge grains and stuff in it, there is not enough "mushiness" factor to absorb in our bellys, and triggers our colon, but graham crackers and pretzels do not have those huge grains in them. They have mushiness factor and are soluble.
Am I making any sense to anyone? I barely grab the idea myself.
