I haven't heard that since I was in O'Meath!! Coke overseas doesn't even have hfcs. They use cane sugar instead. Not that we should be drinking coke, tho!! I think it tastes like vegetable juice without the hfcs (ugh!), but that's just me! Hfcs is a very American product. The U.S. keeps cane sugar at a 400% artificially inflated price, essentially pricing the American food industry out of using it as a cheap additive. It's been this way for years, which is why most American products use corn sweeteners as a cheap subsitute.
