Hi Amy
I asked nearly all the same questions so I have some of the answers- some of the guys should be able to help out with the rest

Quote:

# Is HFCS labelled as corn syrup or is it labelled as something else? I've noticed lot's of things have glucose and fructose so I was wondering if these aren't HFCS are these okay?
HFCS is corn syrup and its widely used in the US but not as much anywhere else, I have only found one product that has it here. Our alternative appears to be glucose fructose syrup which I understand isn't as bad but if you overdoes on refined sugars in general its bad. Of course it all depends on whether its a trigger for you! MSG is one of my worst triggers but others on the boards have no issues with it at all

# I've discovered I loathe rice milk (especially in hot cocoa, blech!!!! plus there's only one brand here and it's pretty revolting) have you tried rice dream plain and vanilla, play around with them, maybe water them down? There's also almond milk out there, I haven't tasted it but you never know... and I think I have a soy intolerance (but am trying it out slowly just to be sure) so I was wondering if goats milk is okay or if it's as bad as cow's milk?
goats milk is a no-no as it has lactose etc in it- thread
#Which brings me to this one....when you say introduce soy slowly how slowly is that? Eg 1/2 cup once a day for a week then 1 cup once a day for a week? I'm hopeless I know
pass
# And last but not least what is chex cereal made from?
Rice Chex are made of rice, corn chex made of corn, Do you have Kelloggs Crispix, they are the closest I can get but they are very sweet. This is the che website Cereal wise I eat Rice Krispies/Bubbles, cheerios, cornpops and porridge
They don't sell it in Aus. and I'm looking for a substitute.
Okay, thanks for answering my dull questions, belive me it's very much appreciated (and I apologise for it, I'm one of those people who drive those they love nuts asking questions). See you around the boards Don't ever be sorry for asking questions! Like I said I asked very similar ones myself!
