Hi,
I know exactly how you feel. Our situations sound very similar. I too, cannot get back on track after having been going so well for some time. It can feel so frustrating when you are still doing all the "right things" but to no avail.
I honestly don't know what to suggest to you as I am struggling so much as well at the moment. But I thought it might make you feel better to know you are not alone. Don't you just feel some days that this is all a bad dream and you'll wake up soon?
Congratulations on your wedding, I hope your husband is supportive of your IBS. Mine is very good (been married 6 years) although sometimes it is still hard for him because it is the same old story - it's hard to imagine when it's not happening to you.
Can you pinpoint any change back when your symptoms recurred? I keep asking myself this and I can see two factors. 1. I weaned myself off A- Depressants and 2. I stopped taking the pill. So my thoughts right now are that either I am not coping with stress well enough (even though I exercise , do yoga etc.) or hormonally I am a mess and that is affecting the IBS. (I have PCOS, have not had a period since stopping the pill and am now going through fertility treatment)
Right now, I am considering hypnotherapy as an option of further trying to control stress. I don't feel that stressed but I'm thinking obviously my body is. I am either going to order the IBS audio program or try to find a hynotherapist who is qualified in dealing with IBS.
I am really tempted to return to the anti-dep. but since I am pursuing a pregnancy that is not an option.
Anyway, I hope this helps, I am a sympathetic ear if you need one!
It has helped me feel better just getting my thought out too!
Let me know how you are going.
Kerrie
