My guess is that canker sores are just really common, tons of people suffer from them, so there is probably not a correlation. But, my GI doc did explain to me a connection between IBS, Migraines, and Asthma. He said all three are the results of functional disorders, meaning there is no organic, physical problem with the body system concerned. With IBS, you have a normal digestive system that doesn't function normally. Same with your lungs, in asthma, and same with your blood vessles in migraines. For some reason your brain is sending signals to these systems, telling them to overreact to everything. He was not surprised to hear that I have Asthma and IBS-D (Though I think it's more A now). Thankfully I don't get migraines very often -- I've had maybe 3 in my life -- but several peope on the boards do. Just an interesting medical theory, I thought.
