Hi there,
I have been diagnosed with IBS in a round about way. Saw my regular doctor gave him my systems, he gave me some pills, they helped BUT they made the blood pressure go higher (already high). I stopped the pills, found this site and went to a gastrointernest (sp) he did a colonoscopy and talked for along time. From this we determined that I do have it, he wants to to add fiber. When I told him about this site and what I found to be helpful, he didn't disagree and said as long as it works keep doing it. Sorry this is so long, but you need some background to know I have not just started all of this by myself. This weekend I was with family members, one who is into holistic medicine and she indicated that I need to get off all bread etc. because of the gluten. My question finally is, how do you know you have a gluten intolerance? I eat bread, potatoes, rice and they seem to help. Again I need to watch the portion sizes, fat content etc. Could use some input. I feel comfortable talking with all of you and trust what has been said. Over all I feel better, this has been a very stressful fall and I know that adds alot to the illness. Appreciate your input. Sorry I rambled on.
Thanks to you all.
