Thanks for the reply. I'm always excited when I hear that someone is actually stable! A big, big accomplishment! If I remember correctly, you are IBS-A? Questions, I thought almonds (nuts)were a trigger food in Heather's book. Do you eat your apple raw? With your Luna Bar you said you had it with safe insoluble fiber. What is an example of a safe insoluble? What type of rice do you eat for dinner? Brown, Jasmine, White Basamati? Thanks so much. I am so anxious to try and get stability of any level. Looks like it's time to trade in the Citricel for Acacia!
Yes, I am an IBS-A. I do eat the apple raw and pealed (with no problems, after taking my soluble fiber). Almonds in moderation are fine for me (just five). I feel like they help me move things along in a safe way (no D).
Safe soluble fiber would be something like a Luna Bar (it contains some insoluble fiber) from what a lot of the girls on the website said they don't bother them either. Safe insolubles are when you puree, mash, mush and peal you fruit or veggies, that will make the insolubes safer. You would eat these insolubles with the safe foods as well, such as rice, bananas, toast and apple sause.
I eat white rice, but brown rice is the safest. Good luck!
