brown rice is BAD! Sorry for interrupting but I thought I would give my tuppence worth too..
I am too am stable now, (without SFS ) by sticking to the diet, listening to my body, eating oatmeal and banana for breakfast, lunch is rice and vegetables or a chicken sandwich and dinner is rice/pasta with chicken or fish or turkey and veggies. I also can eat candy, pretzels etc and even went out for a fancy meal at the weekend. I don't feel deprived and have a lot more energy than I can remember having for years.
It really is just a question of sticking with the diet and figuring out what works for you, we are all different and can tolerate different things, the best advice I could give (which I often give on these boards) is to keep a food diary, that way you can write down what you eat and if/when you feel yuck you can figure out what might have caused it.
