If you are ok with the regular, you should be fine with low-sodium, (I pick low sodium everything if available). If anything it will make you feel better, since sodium has the tendency to bloat, it probably doesn't do too good for IBS.
I used to do this too, until a doctor told me to stop! If you have low blood pressure and tend to feel bloated and tired during warm weather, you might want to try getting more salt in your diet. Yeah, salt has been demonized as much as white bread has, but it really doesn't hurt everyone. I need to have salty things when it's hot out, or else I faint or just feel crappy and weak.
Just wanted to toss this out there for the folks like me who are delicate flowers....

Hey AC, Not a delicate flower here and I have high BP yet I always test out LOW in sodium on blood tests. The GI doc told me with IBS a lot of people have a tendency to have electrolyte imbalances. Guess I'm one, I have to take extra magnesium too.
If you are eating according to THIS diet you're not getting the exorbitant amount of sodium as you would eating fast food/junk food/and processed foods, therefore the regular V-8 shouldn't be a problem, but you may want to try mixing the 2, low sodium with the regular. To me, that's the way they taste the best. If you exercise as you should, and drink a ton of water as you should any excess sodium will be excreted anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.
