There is no sorbitol in the Imodium A-D name brand swallowable caplets. They only put it in the chewable for taste. Also, I have found that many of the generic or store brands often use lactose in there A-D medications, so watch out for that.

I also want to mention that I don't think sorbitol in extremely small amounts is a problem. Imagine how small the pill is, so the amount of sorbitol is tiny especially if it is listed at the end of the ingredients list (they are required to list things in order of magnitude, largest amount present to smallest)

I take Liquid Advil gel tabs sometimes for headaches and "female" cramps, and it contains sorbitol and as long as I take it with a snack or meal it doesn't bother me.
