Hi,
I don't take Bentyl, but I do take Levsin (hyoscamine) on occasion. Like Bentyl, it's an antispasmodic, meaning that it reduces cramping.
Levsin is part of a class of meds called anticholinergics, whose side effects include dry mouth and eyes, headache, and nausea. Perhaps you can ask a pharmacist if Bentyl is an anticholinergic. If it is, the nausea might be a known side effect.
Sometimes I get nauseated from Levsin; sometimes I don't. Since I'm prone to nausea anyway, I keep a stash of Zofran on hand. If the Levsin gets the queasiness going, I pop a Zofran.
(I know, I know, I sound like such a drug addict! I have to take one med to counteract the side effects of another med.)
Hope this helps, and good luck.
