Although my IBS is different in that I have a type of Insulin Resistance which effects the bowels the same way IBS does, I am still on a strict diet. Sometimes I get so depressed living my life around this I want to die. Sometimes, I want to say the #$!! with it and eat like everyone else, but I don't want to get sick. I feel so abnormal in a world full of delicious restaurants and even fast foods that I can not indulge in. My frineds have completely stopped calling me to go out to dinner because they know it is impossible to find a place where I can eat. Although some places are safe, I still get sick. I guess I am not offering a lot of happy, optimistic thoughts or advice, but just know that you are definitely not alone in your feelings. Wishing us all better times!!
