I wish I could snarf down 5 pieces of pizza with a side of tempura vegetables and then maybe a hot fudge sundae!!!! It does get overwhelming. I have two pieces of advice: 1. Do NOT think about the rest of your life. It is too overwhelming. Ask yourself how you can get through today. 2. Do nice things for yourself. Find other kinds of treats. For me, therapeutic massage is the ultimate in self-care and luxury. 3. Okay -- I lied -- have 3 pieces of advice: Get counseling and/or talk to your doctor about medication. Remember that mood is partially biochemical and if you are really down you may need biochemical help. A counselor can help you deal with your feelings.
