actually in a way crohns is worse and in a way its better.. its taken more seriously by the medical community.. there is more help and treatment, but it is more severe.. on the other hand, mom has Crohsn and I have IBS and our triggers are completely different and thus our diets, but we both find fats a trigger, though she can eat lean meat, and can have goat and sheeps milk products, whereas I can't have any dairy or meat, but can have gluten which is one of her personal triggers (she has a mild intolerance to gluten, but even mild intolerances can set off crohns attacks). Crohns is treated in different ways and in some cases with different diets, talk to your doctor and check ccfa.org for more information.
